1. Machine Operation
Operate conventional lathe machines.
Set up tools, workpieces, and machines as per job requirements.
Perform turning, threading, boring, facing, and other lathe operations.
2. Production & Quality
Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other instruments.
Ensure components meet dimensional accuracy and surface finish standards.
Maintain production logs and job cards.
3. Maintenance
Perform routine maintenance of lathe machines.
Keep machines, tools, and surrounding area clean and safe.
Report machine issues or breakdowns immediately.
4. Safety
Follow all safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and shop-floor rules.
Maintain proper handling of tools, measuring instruments, and raw materials.
5. Coordination
Coordinate with supervisors, quality inspectors, and other team members.
Provide updates on job status and any production challenges.
