1. Welding & Fabrication
Perform MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and other materials as required.
Set up welding machine parameters (voltage, wire speed, gas flow).
Fabricate parts using cutting, grinding, tacking, and fitting processes.
Ensure welds meet strength, penetration, and appearance standards.
2. Reading Drawings & Measurements
Read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
Measure and mark materials using measuring tapes, squares, and gauges.
Ensure dimensional accuracy of fabricated components.
3. Quality Control
Inspect welds visually and with measuring tools.
Identify and rectify welding defects such as porosity, undercut, cracks, or spatter.
Maintain welding quality logs when required.
4. Machine & Tool Maintenance
Maintain welding machines, torches, gas cylinders, and tools in proper condition.
Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment.
Ensure proper gas handling and safety checks.
5. Safety Compliance
Follow all safety rules, PPE usage (gloves, helmet, apron, shoes).
Maintain safe working practices to prevent burns, electrical hazards, and fire risk.
Ensure proper ventilation during welding.
6. Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with supervisors and other fabricators to meet production targets.
Report material shortages, machine issues, or quality concerns.
