
1. Machine Operation
Operate pillar/bench/radial drilling machines.
Set up job, tools, and fixtures as per requirements.
Perform drilling, reaming, tapping, countersinking, and spot-facing operations.
Select correct drill bits, speeds, and feeds.
2. Production & Accuracy
Read and understand engineering drawings.
Mark and punch hole locations accurately before drilling.
Measure components using vernier, scale, and gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Maintain required tolerances and surface finish.
3. Quality & Inspection
Inspect drilled holes for size, alignment, and finish.
Identify and correct issues like burrs, misalignment, or tool wear.
Maintain job cards and production records.
4. Maintenance
Perform basic maintenance of drilling machines.
Replace or sharpen worn drill bits.
Keep tools, machine, and work area clean and safe.
5. Safety
Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
Handle tools and workpieces safely to avoid injuries.
Ensure proper clamping and tightening to avoid job movement.
6. Coordination & Reporting
Work with supervisors to meet production targets.
Report machine issues, tool shortages, or material problems.
