The Garments Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing sewing machines used in garment manufacturing to ensure smooth and continuous production.
Maintain and repair various sewing machines such as Single Needle, Overlock, Flatlock, Kansai, Button Hole, and Bartack machines
Troubleshoot and resolve machine breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime
Perform preventive maintenance as per schedule
Adjust machine settings including timing, tension, needle alignment, and lubrication
Install and set up new sewing machines
Coordinate with production supervisors to support line efficiency
Maintain records of machine maintenance and spare parts usage
Follow workplace safety and quality standards
