Quality Inspector – Roles & Responsibilities
Inspect incoming, in-process, and outgoing materials/products to ensure compliance with quality standards
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections as per specifications and drawings
Use measuring instruments (vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) accurately
Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials
Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records
Coordinate with production, stores, and dispatch teams to resolve quality issues
Ensure adherence to company quality policies, SOPs, and safety standards
Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
Monitor process parameters and suggest quality improvements
Support internal and external audits
Verify GRN quality status before material acceptance
Ensure proper labeling, traceability, and documentation
Follow 5S, housekeeping, and safety practices on the shop floor
