Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines as per production plan and drawings
Set up jobs including fixture mounting, tool loading, and offset setting
Read and understand engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T basics
Perform basic program edits and run proven CNC programs
Monitor machining processes to ensure quality, accuracy, and surface finish
Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, etc.
Carry out in-process inspection and record quality data as required
Identify and report machine abnormalities, tool wear, and defects
Perform basic troubleshooting related to tooling, offsets, and alarms
Ensure 5S, safety practices, and housekeeping around the machine
Support preventive maintenance and lubrication activities
Coordinate with quality, production, and maintenance teams to meet targets
Minimize rework and rejection by following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
