Role Summary
We are looking for a versatile Multi-Skilled Technician capable of handling both Electrical and Plumbing maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for the day-to-day repair and preventive maintenance of the factory's utility systems, including lighting, water lines, pumps, and general building infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical Maintenance
Lighting & Power: Install and repair factory lighting (LED/Tube lights), fans, switchboards, and power sockets.
Cabling: Lay cables and terminate connections for small motors or equipment.
Panels: Perform basic troubleshooting on Distribution Boards (DBs) and replace burnt fuses, MCBs, or contactors.
Motors: Check motor connections and measure current/voltage to ensure smooth running.
2. Plumbing & Piping
Leak Repair: Identify and fix leaks in water lines (PVC/GI/SS pipes), air lines, and steam pipes immediately.
Valves & Taps: Repair or replace ball valves, butterfly valves, gate valves, and washroom taps.
Pumps: Check mechanical seals and packing in water pumps; clear airlocks.
Blockages: Clear clogs in drainage lines and maintain the factory's sewage/wastewater flow.
3. General Utilities & Safety
Rounds: Take daily rounds of the utility area (RO Plant, Compressor Room, Pump House) to check for abnormal sounds or leaks.
Safety: Ensure all electrical joints are insulated and all pipe flanges are tightened securely.
Tools: Maintain your own tool kit (multimeter, pipe wrench, spanners, insulation tape) in good condition.
Requirements
Education:
ITI (Industrial Training Institute)
OR 10th/12th Pass with significant hands-on experience.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facility maintenance (Factories, Hotels, or Hospitals preferred).
Technical Skills:
Must know how to use a Multimeter and Clamp Meter.
Must be skilled in cutting, threading, and joining pipes (PVC & GI).
Ability to read basic wiring diagrams.
Physical Fitness: Ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces.
Preferred (Bonus)
Valid "B" Permit / Wireman License (State Electrical Board).
Experience with RO (Reverse Osmosis) plants or Water Treatment systems.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: ₹15,000 - ₹25,000
