Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Operation & Monitoring

  • Supervise daily operations of ETP & STP to ensure continuous and efficient functioning.
  • Monitor treatment processes such as screening, neutralization, aeration, clarification, filtration, and sludge handling.
  • Ensure proper chemical dosing and control of pH, COD, BOD, TSS, and other parameters.
  • Maintain flow records, logbooks, and operational checklists.

2. Maintenance

  • Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of pumps, blowers, motors, valves, pipelines, and treatment units.
  • Ensure availability of spare parts and chemicals.
  • Maintain equipment in safe and working condition.

3. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, consent conditions, and discharge norms.
  • Prepare and maintain all statutory records, including:
    • Daily operation reports
    • Laboratory test reports
    • Water consumption and discharge data
  • Support audits and inspections by authorities and third-party agencies.

4. Sampling & Testing

  • Collect samples of treated and untreated water for analysis.
  • Coordinate with external laboratories.
  • Ensure treated water quality meets required standards.

5. Team Supervision

  • Supervise operators and technicians working in ETP & STP.
  • Provide training on plant operation, safety, and emergency handling.
  • Maintain shift schedules and attendance.

6. Safety & Environment

  • Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals.
  • Implement safety procedures and use of PPE.
  • Maintain housekeeping in plant areas.
  • Support environmental sustainability and water recycling initiatives.

7. Reporting

  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
  • Highlight abnormalities and take corrective action.
  • Support management in improving plant efficiency and cost reduction.
