Description

A CNC Operator is a skilled technician who operates Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to manufacture precision components used in industries like automotive, , railways, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines such as CNC Turning, Milling, VMC, or HMC
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts
  • Read and understand technical drawings and blueprints
  • Set tools and offsets
  • Monitor machining process and ensure quality
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning
  • Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, etc.)

 

Qualification

  • ITI (Turner / Machinist / Fitter) OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • CNC training certificate (preferred)

Salary in India (Approx.)

  • Fresher: ₹15,000
  • 2–5 years: ₹18,000 -22000
  • Experienced: ₹25,000
