Description

Machine Operators – Role Overview

Machine Operators are shop-floor technicians responsible for running, monitoring, and maintaining industrial machines such as CNC, VMC, HMC, or conventional equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machines (CNC / VMC / HMC / Turning / Milling)
  • Load raw materials and ensure correct alignment
  • Monitor machine performance and output quality
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments
  • Measure components using gauges (vernier, micrometer, etc.)
  • Maintain production logs and follow safety procedures

Skills Required

  • Basic mechanical and technical understanding
  • Ability to read drawings (for experienced operators)
  • Knowledge of measuring instruments
  • Attention to quality and safety
  • Shift flexibility

Eligibility

  • 10th / 12th / ITI / Diploma
  • Freshers or experienced (0–10+ years depending on machine type)
