Core Skills (for both loading & unloading)

  • Physical fitness and stamina
  • Basic safety awareness (PPE, hazard handling)
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Teamwork and coordination
  • Time management (meeting dispatch deadlines)

Loading Employees – Key Skills

  • Proper stacking and weight distribution
  • Packing and securing materials (to avoid damage)
  • Knowledge of handling fragile or hazardous goods
  • Basic documentation (labels, dispatch lists)
  • Equipment use (trolleys, forklifts – if trained)

Unloading Employees – Key Skills

  • Careful handling to prevent damage
  • Checking received materials against delivery notes
  • Sorting and placing items correctly
  • Reporting damages or shortages
  • Safe unloading techniques

Additional Useful Skills

  • Communication (with drivers, supervisors)
  • Basic counting and record-keeping
  • Awareness of site/warehouse layout
