
Technical Skills
The candidate should possess basic knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes used in heavy engineering and crane manufacturing industries. A fundamental understanding of EOT Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Jib Cranes, and other material handling equipment will be advantageous. The trainee should be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is desirable. Familiarity with quality inspection methods and measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and Measuring Tapes is preferred. The candidate should have a basic understanding of Production Planning and Control (PPC), preventive and breakdown maintenance practices, and industrial safety standards including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required, while exposure to ERP/MRP systems will be considered an added advantage. The candidate should demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities and possess an interest in continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Management Systems will be an added advantage.
